The Conquerors basketball teams travel to Winnipeg for the second time this season to take on the CMU Blazers in a key conference matchup. The teams will compete both Friday and Saturday at the Blazers home gym. The Blazer men are 0-2 in the conference and looking to even their conference record over the weekend. The Conqueror men are seeking to win a couple of tough road games against a hot-shooting Blazer squad. Last year, the Conquerors went 2-1 vs. the Blazer, including eliminating CMU in the first round of the NIAC tournament last season.
For the Lady Conquerors, CMU will present a physical challenge, especially on the road. It is always tough to play after traveling and the FLBC women will look to get off to a fast start. The Blazers are 2-0 in conference play while the Conquerors will look to move over .500 in the conference standings as they currently own a 2-2 conference record. The women play at 6PM and 12PM this weekend while the men play at 8PM and 2PM. Both teams will be stopping in Fargo overnight on Saturday to join St. Paul’s Free Lutheran Church in worship on Sunday morning. Members of the teams will contribute both worship music and testimonies during the services. The teams will return to campus on Sunday afternoon.
