Playing for the second time in less than 24 hours, the Conquerors jumped out in front to lead by as much as 9 points early. After looking flat for most of the second half, the Conquerors caught a spark by increasing the tempo to close on the Mighty Mikinocks lead. With the loss, the Lady Conquerors record drops to 3-8, good for 8th place in the conference.

FLBC Women vs. TMCC (Saturday, February 1, 2020)

In the second game of the weekend between the two teams, the Mighty Mikinocks again started with red-hot shooting from the outside to jump out to a quick lead. However, a steadily improving and aggressive defense started to wear down the TMCC offense, keeping the Conquerors in the game, especially in the second half. Despite a 22-point half-time deficit, FLBC played TMCC even in the second half to lose by a final score of 63-85. In addition to an inspired defensive effort, the Conquerors outrebounded the host by a 37-27 margin. Offensively, Madison Trussoni led all scorers with 24 for the game with Hannah Boyer chipping in 12 points of her own. TMCC displayed balanced scoring with 5 individuals in double-digits, including 11 for 15 shooting as a team from outside the arc in the first half. The Lady Conquerors showed a competitive spirit in game two, despite a disheartening effort in game one. They improved as a team on Saturday and will look ahead to their next game against Maranatha Baptist University next Saturday in Watertown, WI.
