After a very quick turnaround, FLBC and CMU met again on Saturday afternoon. The Conquerors showed no evidence of losing their momentum overnight as they jumped out to a very quick 10-2 lead and never looked back. Continuing their aggressive play, they scored an amazing 62 points in the first half, enjoying a 20 point lead at halftime. They continued to score consistently throughout the second half and closed with a 108-89 victory. The Conquerors shot 50% from the floor on the night, demonstrating a nice balance of both inside and outside scoring. Micah Moan led all scorers with 34 points along with 8 rebounds. Other double-digit scorers included Luther Zeltinger (20), Weston Napier (16), and Mikah Olson (12). The Conquerors dominated on the boards again with a 56-36 advantage. Zeltinger (10), Napier (9), and Olson (9) all had big nights on the offensive and defensive glass. The team also protected the ball well with only 5 turnovers against 7 steals. Seth McKenzie (27) and Isaiah Cole (29) both had good scoring nights for the Blazers. As it is always tough to win in Canada, the weekend sweep at CMU was a big boost to the Conquerors as they now possess a 4-2 conference and 5-4 overall record. With the loss, the Blazers fell to 0-4 in the conference.
